Responsibilities
The Trade Plant group is a global group responsible for the management of production systems across equities. The group works closely with the business and provides equity application support. The group closely interacts with the development and infrastructure teams to manage all changes to the production environment. Trade plant has a strong focus on operational excellence and process improvement.
The successful candidate will join a team whose focus will be on providing front line support for all Equity Front Office applications in India for a US based Investment bank.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead a team of 3 staff responsible for ensuring the smooth running of production application systems for Equities in India and more generally in the Pacific Rim region of a major U.S. investment bank.
· Manage all deployments to the production environment. Ensure standards are adhered prior to deployment.
· The candidate should look across the entire environment to improve processes and procedures that will improve the state of the production systems.
· Problem management.
· Strong focus on operational excellence.
· Metrics and Reporting on the health/performance of the environment.
· Build a close relationship with our business users. Excellent verbal, written communication skills.
· Work closely with Development to ensure standards are met that allows a high level of support, recoverability and scale-ability.
· Work closely with other Trade Plant Managers in other countries around the region to ensure a consistent service delivery
The Selected candidate should be:
· Essential Education – Engineering graduate / MBA
· Systems Experience - Fidessa, Solaris, Linux/Unix, Windows, Networks, MS SQL/Sybase/Oracle
· Language skills - Excellent written and spoken English
