Chef de Partie5 over 7 shift RotaThe RoleReporting to the Executive Chef or, in his/her absence, to the Premier Sous ChefResponsibility for a kitchen section as directed, working flexibly across Catering operation to maintain the highest possible standard of cuisine in all types of cateringEnsure cleaning schedules and rotas for chefs, kitchen porters, plate wash assistants are followedAllocate tasks to kitchen stewards as necessaryEnsure the Executive Chef or Duty chef is informed of the foodstuffs stocks, and avoid extravagant waste of foodstuffs through portion controlCarry out other duties as identified from time to timeThe CandidateAbility to work flexibly across the catering operationFamiliarity with relevant Health and Safety requirements, ability to maintain standards of hygieneAbility to oversee the appropriate checking in of deliveries for quantity, quality, temperature and priceFamiliarity with culinary skills and knowledge,and ability to teach these to Commis and Trainee ChefsWell presented and with excellent customer service standardsAbility to maintain good working relationships with all kitchen and food service staff Terms and ConditionsFull-time, 39 hours a week, to include weekendsCompetitive SalaryUniform provided and free meal whilst on dutyUse of some leisure facilities, to include swimming, gym etc.Accommodation availableYou can apply for this vacancy using our online application form or by contacting with your CV.
