Responsibilities
Main Function
The role is for a technical BA to work on the re-engineering of the existing system. The role involves:
Integration of new trading products and improvement of existing products into the trade capture and risk technology stack.
Ensuring that sufficient facilities exist to allow the trade population to be managed effectively, while maintaining the necessary level of control for a system of record.
Providing accurate and timely risk reports, to facilitate effective risk management and monitoring.
A proven ability to take ownership of sections of the overall solution driving the project forward with minimal supervision and being able to assess the impact of new feature requests.
Main Duties
Understand and capture business requirements, in order to help design an effective overall solution.
Become familiar with and reconfigure software already available within the firm in order to fulfil requirements, in particular around handling Credit-specific or emerging market exotic trade and market data types.
Partner with development teams to have system enhancements implemented, and ensure that the work done contributes to the project's near-term and strategic goals.
Solicit and analyse feedback on the solution, and use this to prioritise enhancements for future system releases.
Experience
Essential
A track record of delivery, having made significant contributions to successful large-scale software projects
Experience working in an investment banking role
Significant involvement with the construction of large-scale systems
Experience facing off to the front office in an investment bank
Good understanding of financial mathematics
Preferred
A business analysis role involving technical analysis of an existing system
An understanding of source control
Basic programming skills e.g. VBA, JavaScript
XML and related technologies, e.g. DOM, SAX, XPATH, XML Schema, XSLT
Defect-tracking tools, with change-management workflow
