Responsibilities
This position can be based either in London or in Telford.
Telford Salary: Up to £35k
London Salary: Up to £40k
some travel will be involved - it will vary from week to week depending on workload. Travel will be between London, Telford, as well as client offices located around the UK.
Influence the way in which the Internal audit teams work, and to help the team deliver a quality service.
It will also involve liaising with other parts of the risk management division, including IT audit specialists, Fraud Solutions, Consulting and Education Specialist Services Team, ETS.
Key responsibilities:
Reporting to the Associate Director within the Risk Management Technical Team, the Technical Manager will have responsibility for:
Managing the internal audit quality assurance programme
Developing and delivering internal audit training
Maintaining and developing our risk based internal audit methodology
Answering queries from across the risk management division
Developing and providing guidance for internal auditors
Working with our various sector groups to develop client briefings and audit guidance
Overseeing our internal audit knowledge base
Skills, knowledge & experience:
Qualified internal auditor (MIIA) or accountant (CCAB or equivalents)
Several years internal audit experience
Ideally experience in more than one part of the public sector
Must be able to work independently and remotely from rest of the team
Ability to travel to other offices around the UK
Good presentation skills
Excellent written skills
Good commercial acumen
